Short intro

Comfort Of Strangers - Beth Orton. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Comfort of Strangers is English singer-songwriter Beth Orton's fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2002's Daybreaker. The album was recorded in just two weeks at New York's Sear Sound studio in the spring of 2005, with musician and composer Jim O'Rourke as producer. It features Beth on guitar, piano and harmonica with O'Rourke on bass, piano and marimba and the American percussionist Tim Barnes on drums. Comfort of Strangers. Beth Orton. Rock 2006. Produced by cult musician Jim O'Rourke, Comfort of Strangers is a supple sample of Americana Countenance , jazz Worms , classic 70s AOR Heartland Truckstop and pastoral chill Absinthe . But the instrumentation is restrained and classy, letting Orton push her vocals into beguiling shapes: flinty and rough on Worms , soulful on Feral Children , and ragged on Shopping Trolley , where she lets us in more than ever before: I think I'm gonna cry, I'm gonna laugh about it all in time, she sings, with convincing wisdom. I couldn't find this song on the youtube so I thought I'd make a botched job of doing it myself. There's a few pictures then I got bored with mucking Name Beth Orton. Album Name Comfort of Strangers. Type Album. 发布日期 2006. 出版公司 EMI Records. Shadow of a Doubt. Has Beth Orton ever sounded as angry as she does on Worms, the caustic kiss-off that opens her fourth album I'm your apple-eatin' heathen, any ol' rib-stealin' Eve, she sings on the chorus, turning talk of original sin into empowering invective against some unnamed target. Comfort of Strangers is strongest when O'Rourke and percussionist Tim Barnes translate Trailer Park's spacey effects into earthier rhythms, especially with the oscillating bassline and tight drum beat on Conceived. They let loose on Countenance and are joined by what sounds like a full band on Shopping Trolley. Songs in album Beth Orton - Comfort Of Strangers 2006. Beth Orton - Worms. Beth Orton - Countenance. I know the stars that shine on me, Are brighter than you or I could ever be. I know there's an answer to your question, But I don't if I could word it right. Say what you mean, Don't tell it like it could be, I'm not sure that I should say it out loud, Say what you mean, Don't tell it like it could be, Right at this time, I'm gonna keep that in mind
