Short intro
The Help Album is a 1995 charity album to raise funds for the War Child charity, which provided aid to war-stricken areas, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina. All the songs were recorded in a single day. The album features British and Irish artists including Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Radiohead, Oasis, Blur and the Manic Street Preachers. It was followed by 1 Love 2002, Hope 2003, Help: A Day in the Life 2005 and War Child Presents Heroes 2009. The striking album front cover features The Beatles making semaphore signals but these do not spell Help The album went immediately to no. 1 in the British charts remaining there for a total of nine of its 37 weeks in the Top Twenty. Yet again in the US, things were different. Another soundtrack album was released which contained all the songs from side one of the UK album plus six instrumental pieces scored by Ken Thorne. My version of this great album, it took me a while to finish, hope you like my cover. Created with MAGIX Video Pro Beatles early releases were on the Vee-Jay, Swan and Tollie labels, before EMIs US counterpart, Capitol, sat up and took notice. Unfortunately for The Beatles, Capitol often insisted in dropping certain tracks, reassembling running orders and constructing new releases by economic and judicious use of the songs that were coming from London. The Capitol albums also contained a handful of alternative mixes and instrumental tracks not available anywhere else. Some of these are available on the Capitol Albums volumes, and are worth investigating for anyone interested in variations in tracklis. The Beatles Format: Audio CD. New from. Used from. The Help soundtrack album is as haphazard as Beatles For Sale, but it lacks that record's glowering intensity it's a great but confusing record. As 1965 began, the Beatles obviously weren't going away, but being pop's aristocracy didn't necessarily make you pop's leading edge. The kids were coming up from behind. The Animals could claim a no. 1, the Stones had two. So did London's Kinks, and if the Who didn't it was only because their routines were too extreme. Again, they pad the album with covers, but the Bakersfield bounce of Act Naturally adds new flavor along with an ideal showcase for Ringo's amiable vocals and Dizzy Miss Lizzy gives John an opportunity to flex his rock & roll muscle. George is writing again and if his two contributions don't touch Lennon and McCartney's originals, they hold their own against much of their British pop peersRelated to Beatles, The - Help!
