Bayside is the second album by American rock band Bayside. Devotion and Desire was released to radio on July 26, 2005. The album was released August 23 through Victory Records. While touring drummer John Beatz Holohan was killed in an auto accident. In February and March 2006, the group supported Smoking Popes on their tour of the U. In April, the band supported Protest the Hero on their Canadian tour, dubbed Tour and Loathing. In May and June, the band went on the Lions Tigers and Bears Tour. Bayside - Bayside. While touring for this album two months after its release, the bands van hit a patch of ice on a Wyoming highway and flipped over, breaking the back of bassist Nick Ghanbarian and killing drummer John Beatz Holohan. This was Holohans first and only release with the band. As a bonus track for the Japanese release, the album included a cover of Counting Crows A Long December, a well-known song abo.
