Short intro

Into the Unknown is the second studio album by Bad Religion, which was released on November 30, 1983. The album marks a distinct departure from the band's previous album instead of featuring hardcore punk, the album is characterized by slower tempos, use of electronic organ and pianos, and a prog-influenced hard rock sound. Into the Unknown is the only Bad Religion album to feature Paul Dedona on bass and Davy Goldman on drums, as Jay Bentley and Pete Finestone returned to the band in 1986 and played. 2012 г. As a punk album it was a total failure, however on it's own merits the album has many good qualities rich with synthesizers, keyboards and some quality acoustics all thrown together forging 8 quality songs, with some. At a time when most L. bands were playing extremely fast, stripped-down rock, Bad Religion released Into the Unknown, a chunk of '70s-styled hard rock that anticipated the '70s revival by about a decade. It's a bit off-putting at first blush, mainly because the tempos are slower and more deliberate, and because of the use of swirling organs and pianos. But Into the Unknown is a terrific record that was perhaps more daring than anyone realized at the time of its release. Bad Religion : Into the Unknown,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. But it's a terrific record that was perhaps more daring than anyone realized at the time of its release. An extremely influential and interesting record, one that any fan of hard rock should own. The magnum opus of this Into The Unknown, a 7 minute piece the longest song in BR history, which is divided into four segments. It features a strong use of an acoustic guitar, along with the synth, and the guitar, and I suppose everyone will agree with me that this song is the most atmospheric song BR has ever done. This is no doubt the worst song in the album. It is a shame, because the idea is not bad par say, but it is so long and so repetitive, that you can not help but finding yourself pushing the skip button. Basically, it has the same riff and rhythm throughout the song, and it has a total lack of lyrics, the ones it has are clearly not enough to save this one

This record sounds rough. I dont know if thats because its a low budget punk recording from the 1980s or because its a subpar bootleg. Ive never listened to an official pressing so I cant compare. And make no mistake, this version is a bootleg as the credits on the back cover lists "Greg Guerewitz" as a producer when it should be "Brett Guerewitz". It's also far shinier than a normal record jacket (kind of like the bright and reflective coloring you'd expect from the cover of a spiral notebook). It is very much listenable, esp if your ear is used to old, cheaply recorded, low-fi punk rock. And unfortunately, unless you're planning on dropping triple digits for an original pressing or trying to hunt down the 30th anniversary Bad Religion box set (that included the only repressing of this LP [in clear red] limited to 3000 copies), this is the only way you're going to get a copy of this.

I can agree with fokkerTISM. This record has a fair bit of distortion. The guitar and synths kind of blend together weirdly. With that said, the record itself is pretty quiet. I didn't notice any big pops on my copy. However, it's listenable and I don't regret my purchase. Out of all the bootlegs of this album you could buy, this is the best vinyl version so far.One odd thing I did notice is that the cover art has a bit of JPEG artifacting, however, it doesn't seem to be present on the Bad Religion logo. Either way, it's not severe, you have to be looking for it in order to see it.

Sound quality is similar to a rip of the original I have, but there is a lot of distortion and clipping.

Okay thank you, that’s very helpful. I already bought one anyway but it’s nice to know it’ll at least be half decent. X3

If you want it, yes. Its never going to get an official re-release, so unless you track down an OG or get the BR Box Set, this is your only go. I dont think it sounds bad. I have about 5-6 different rips of the original and they all sound about the same or worse than this

Do you think it’s worth buying, even with the distortion?
