Short intro

Steve Borth, Sr AYA Singers. Home Town. Richardson, TX, United States. On 2-6-72, a group of singers in Portland, Oregon sang the Great Controversy Cantata for the first time. It was not to be its last presentation. Former of the Rose City Singers formed the core group that did the first concert at Portland Adventist Academy. The Texas AYA Singers led by Wayne Thurber followed later that same year. Countless other groups in the Carolinas, in Corpus Christi, Texas and in Sacramento, California took the songs throughout the United States. In 1974, Paul Johnson and his Singers reinterpreted it and released it on his label, One Way Publications at the time. White, one of the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and held in esteem as a prophetess or messenger of God among Seventh-day Adventist members. In it, White describes the Great Controversy theme between Jesus Christ and Satan, as played out over the millennia from its start in heaven, to its final end when the remnant who are faithful to God will be taken to heaven at the Second Advent of Christ, and the world is destroyed and recreated. The genre of Blues wouldnt have been so had it not been for the greatest and legendary blues musician and singer, BB King. And these are just a handful for the long list of some extensively talented singers that the world was blessed with in the past century. Know more about the famous singers of the 20th century. Kenny Rogers. 21 August 1938, American. Controversy is a song by American musician Prince, the lead single and title track to his 1981 album. The song addresses speculation about Prince at the time such as his sexuality, gender, religion, and racial background, and how he could not understand the curiosity surrounding him. The song has two main verses, a few choruses, with the title repeated throughout the track. Towards the middle he recites the Lord's Prayer in full, which fueled the fire for some to say the song was blasphemous
