Meeting With Menmachines is not a compilation, but rather the second of four all-new studio albums by the 1980's formation of Amon Düül usually referred to unofficially as Amon Düül UK as the band had relocated and the lineup shifted. This is perhaps the most unusual of all Düül albums in any lineup as they employ a female vocalist to handle nearly all the leads and the songs are, with one exception, fairly conventional in structure. Certainly, Amon Düül II the previous lineup had delved into neo-pop before with albums such as Only Human, but still, this one. Most of the songs feature female vocals.
