Alice Cooper - DaDa 1983. is the eighth solo studio album by American singer Alice Cooper, released on September 28, 1983 by Warner Bros. DaDa would be Cooper's last album until his sober re-emergence in 1986 with the album Constrictor. The album's theme is ambiguous, however, ongoing themes in the songs' lyrics suggest that the main character in question, Sonny, suffers from mental illness, resulting in the creation of many different personalities. From the spooky opening tones of the title track, that horror movie chic that Cooper did so well is quite apparent. Other tracks, such as Former Lee Warmer, also do well at capturing that sort of a mood. Still, there are lighter-hearted, more alternative rock-type pieces such as Scarlet and Sheba and Enough's Enough. One the humorous side, Cooper gives I Love America and Dyslexia. Alice Cooper cant recall making DaDa , but that doesnt mean that the 1983 album isnt worth remembering. Thats the term for the series of Special Forces , Zipper Catches Skin and DaDa retroactively applied because Cooper was so deep in the throes of substance abuse in the early 80s that he has no memory of recording any of the albums.
