Three Sixty is a greatest hits compilation released by American rock band A Perfect Circle on November 19, 2013. The set compiles songs from previous albums by the band and includes one new song, By and Down. With Three Sixty, the band has put together a tour of the band's shiniest moments, stripping their back catalog down to its most essential songs. From early tracks like The Hollow and Judith from the excellent Mer de Noms, to their chilling cover of John Lennon's Imagine from eMOTIVe, the compilation gives listeners direct access to the band's best work. This helps to avoid some of the unevenness that crops up on their full-lengths, giving fans a purer look at the brilliance this band was capable of. Buying Three Sixty for the sole purpose of owning By and Down really isn't a good idea in the age of mp3s and file-sharing. And if you're just starting to get into A Perfect Circle, then buying their albums separately would be a much better option. They only have two not counting the horrendous and completely unnecessary listen eMOTIVe, plus the flow and transitioning of the songs are much better than they are on Three Sixty. There's no doubting how great these songs are, but in the end, this probably isn't the best method to listen to APC tracks.
