Great 12"with 2 fantastic Hardcore / Breakbeat tunes."Pressing On Ya Mind" is full on piano madness from the moment the tune kicks in, with some gritty synth stabs thrown in for good measure, pack full of energy."Beat Like This" again its packed full of energy, with its driving breaks and big synth lines and familiar sounding vocals.Fantastic couple of tracks a must for any old school Hardcore / Breakbeat fan.

Thanks for the positive comments, and good to read some of the criticism too!! Just to point out though that I don't know who DJ Shafie/Blame is. Unless his name is Ben, Bernard or is me (which it isn't!) then he didn't "do" this. I played the keyboards on this (and created the Exorcist 3 sample using a VCR connected to a HiFi lol). No more white labels around, but would be interested to hear from DJ pArke if he still owns the acetate.

a piece of classic vinyl hear, both sides are mint, stands out by far from most happy old skool stuff around at this time, negativity for the record i just dont get as its a brilliant 12". 10/10

Prices asked for this are a JOKE I sold a copy ...On acetate the original metal work!!!! Owned by one of the guys who made it before I aquired it.. DJ SHAFIE AKA BLAME yep Blame & Justice did it, DJ pArke owns it now. I didn't sell it for anything like 200! And if the geezers on here had of had it they would be asking over a grand for it!! It's not really a classic It got played a few times but It does start pressing on your mind in an annoying way. Better tunage?? Clubsonic - Life line for an example :)

DJ Shafie was not Conrad Shafie aka Blame. Different guy, who stamped all his records with a DJ SHAFIE rubber stamp. The collection was sold off about 10 years ago.

Although I was only introduced to this record in the last few years, it is one of my most rated releases from this era of UK hardcore. Both tracks are superb, with 'Pressing on ya mind' using a sample from the film 'Exorcist 3','Oh gracious me was I raving' to great effect, along side uplifting pianos and quality breaks. The B side track is in a more frenetic style, with classic old skool analogue stabs and hip hop vocal samples 'When the drum beat goes like this'. Hard to find but well worth searching out a copy of this classic. I still can't believe this wasn't picked up by one of the established labels at the time.
