Short intro

Hellfire is the third studio album by Norwegian black metal band 1349. It was released on May 24, 2005 through Candlelight Records. A music video was produced for the track Sculptor of Flesh. The video, directed by Judd Tilyard, alternates between footage of the band performing the song in Norway and clips of surgery filmed in Australia. Metal 2005. album flourishes with a newfound style that 1349 did not utilize on their past two albums. While Liberation and Beyond the Apocalypse seemed to bear a wall of noise with every song sounding similar, Hellfire has improved greatly. Each song has unique traits that make it stand out from the others. Songs have a display of styles ranging from the epic title track Hellfire to the aggressive Sculptor of Flesh. This album is eight completely different songs, something that many black metal bands fall victim to. The atmosphere featured on this album is outstanding, partly thanks to the vocals of. My favorite 1349 album has always been Hellfire. 1349s sound is for someone who wants a very pure form of black metal, but with a bunch of melody mixed in to give it some extra color. I guess a band that would compare to 1349s sound would be Watain, but Watain isnt nearly as fast and chaotic as 1349 even though I like Watain more. But as far as the quality of the music goes, there are only a few traditional black metal bands that can surpass the quality of Hellfire. I think I might have under exaggerated the amount of melody this album has. My personal video from one of the best norwegian black metal track ever composed.
